The geneva-based United Nations conference on trade and development (unctad) said in a report on the 22nd, 2017, China attracting foreign direct investment of $144 billion, a record high, China continues to become one of the most attract foreign investment in developing countries, is also the world's second largest country after the United States foreign countries. Total foreign direct investment in the world fell 16 per cent last year to $1.52 trillion from the previous year, according to the global investment trends monitoring report released on the day of unctad. The decline in total foreign direct investment is in sharp contrast to other macroeconomic indicators such as global gross domestic product and trade growth.——
